This is one of my Japanese scenery series. When I was traveling in Japan this past April and May, I saw these carp like fish streamers swimming on tall poles in the middle of rice fields. They celebrate May 5th as Children’s Day. It seems that we used to see them a lot more in neighborhoods when we were kids. The group represents a family unit with various sizes. People hope for children to grow up healthy and strong.
