I was not expecting colorful painted sheep when we visited Ireland last Fall. Hills and fields of County Donegal were sprinkled with sheep with vivid paint on their back or neck areas. Apparently that is to help farmers keep track of their sheep and also to distinguish ewes. Despite how bedraggled look, they seem very tough and stand in rain and other bad weather with not much complaining.
Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas with 1 1/2 inch profile.
